TIME HAS COME SYNCHRONICITY
But if a man’s efficiency is not guided and regulated by a moral sense, then the more efficient he is the worse he is, the more dangerous to the body politic. Courage, intellect, all the masterful qualities, serve but to make a man more evil if they are merely used for that man’s own advancement, with brutal indifference to the rights of others. - Theodore Roosevelt
Our Constitution works; our great Republic is a government of laws and not of men. Here the people rule. But there is a higher Power, by whatever name we honor him, who ordains not only righteousness but love, not only justice but mercy. - Gerald Ford
You must remain the trailblazer you have always been - Nelson Mandela
Dr. Carl Jung referred to synchronicity as the experience of meaningful coincidences where seemingly unrelated events occur together in a way that feels significant, without a clear causal link. Synchronicity, in both current events and in memories of past personal experiences, have been occurring with uncanny frequency.
First, two prominent men who I first met during our childhoods have struck a cord that vindicate my viewpoints of current events and what I have personally written and spoken about going back to my first term in college 47 years ago.
On his own initiative, U.S. Senator Steve Daines (R-MT) went to America's southern border in October 2023 and discovered a chaotic mess in Texas. Steve made a point of not only deriding the Biden Administration's policies but also took care to inform the American people that known terrorists from unfriendly countries are crossing our border with impunity at an alarming rate. Fortunately, Steve has been taken seriously, at least to a certain extent. SVC had been warning about this for over two decades prior, but no one bothered to take us seriously at all!
The U.S. Supreme Court Voted 6-3 in Nuclear Regulatory Commission v. Texas. Justice Neil Gorsuch wrote a dissenting opinion stating the majority is indulging "in fantasies" concerning Texas' right to judicial review. By definition, any case having to do with nuclear plants is dangerous. Neil wrote that the NRC clearly broke the law and Texas should have the right to remedy the situation. The majority believed that Texas or an aggrieved neighbor near the storage plant in question had no standing in the case. I don't have to be on the Supreme Court to know this Ruling is absurd.
My work dealing with nuclear waste began in Autumn 1978. There was an Initiative on the ballot that banned the transport of nuclear tailings along I-90 in Montana. The Associated Students of the University of Montana were all for it and I was a member of the Central Board (now Student Senate). The Initiative passed overwhelmingly and storage companies had to divert their storage of the nuclear tailings to Nevada.
This experience came in handy when I took part in negotiating the Multilateral Nuclear Environmental Programme in the Russian Federation (MNEPR) Agreement. This is where I met and worked with Russian President Vladimir Putin. We got along swimmingly to the point that he invited SVC to Moscow to conduct our SVC International Children's Day General Conference in 2006. There, SVC-TV debuted. I don't have to discuss the ironies in all this now, especially on the sixth anniversary of the Kushnir poisoning and the imminent debut of the SVC-TV nationwide in the United States. Russia withdrew from the treaty in late 2024, ending a period of collaboration on nuclear safety and environmental issues between Russia and several Western nations.
