Those who have read my books, and particularly the chapter entitled, THE INEVITABLE MARCH OF HISTORY, know I believe history itself is the way the Creator guides human events. I first conjured that idea by listening to the Foreign Policy Lectures of Dr. Donald S. Spencer, PhD, at the University of Montana in 1980 as the Administration of Jimmy Carter wrestled with the Iranian Hostage Crisis. Don would later serve on my Doctoral Dissertation Committee when I attended the University of Oklahoma. Academia generally approaches the study of Foreign Policy through four different disciplines: Business Administration; Economics; History and Political Science. I have degrees in all but History, which was Don’s discipline of study. Don explained to us that History & Political Science were once one and the same, but they split over their viewpoints over Foreign Policy saying that Political Scientists believe in solving problems by “modeling the crisis” while Historians say it is inevitable specific events will occur given certain circumstances and it is best to learn from History and not allow those circumstances to resurface. I am a Historian concerning my viewpoints of Foreign Policy.
It might be of interest you to know that George Washington successfully argued with the U.S. Senate that it should the President of the United States who should set American Foreign Policy not the Senate. Believe it or not, this was a very early controversy when the U.S. Government first took shape in 1789.
Because of the French Revolution breaking out in July of that year, President Washington chose an isolationist Foreign Policy which would be in direct conflict with Thomas Jefferson, the man he recalled from France to become the first Secretary of State. In that chapter, I created a table that shows the differences between the two men on Foreign Policy. Next to the debate over the size and power of the U.S. Government, the debate between having an isolationist versus activist Foreign Policy is the oldest debate in U.S. Politics. Both debates are still ongoing 237 years later.
In his last speech in Fort Worth, Texas, on the morning of November 22, 1963, U.S. President John Kennedy recalled how George Washington hoped that the Atlantic Ocean would safeguard America from European intrigues and the American People could live in peaceful isolation, but given events during the last three Administrations, no longer could afford that luxury:
Here, a country which lived in isolation, divided and protected by the Atlantic and the Pacific, uninterested in the struggles of the world around it, here in the short space of 18 years after the Second World War, we put ourselves, by our own will and by necessity, into defense of alliances with countries all around the globe. Without the United States, South Vietnam would collapse overnight. Without the United States, the SEATO alliance would collapse overnight. Without the United States the CENTO alliance would collapse overnight. Without the United States there would be no NATO. And gradually Europe would drift into neutralism and indifference. Without the efforts of the United States in the Alliance for Progress, the Communist advance onto the mainland of South America would long ago have taken place.
So this country, which desires only to be free, which desires to be secure, which desired to live at peace for 18 years under three different administrations, has borne more than its share of the burden, has stood watch for more than its number of years. I don't think we are fatigued or tired. We would like to live as we once lived. But history will not permit it. The Communist balance of power is still strong. Despite his statement concerning Vietnam in his speech, six weeks before on 11 October 1963, President Kennedy had signed National Security Action Memorandum Number 263 (NSAM-263). It was a National Security Directive to remove the 50,000 Military Advisors from Vietnam by the 1964 Presidential Election. He unwittingly had signed his own death warrant. We will get back to that.
In my Foreign Policy Chapter in my books, I side with President Jefferson. I am a Foreign Policy Activist and Free Trader to the core. That’s why I didn’t become Donald Trump’s Secretary of State. I knew from President-elect Trump’s campaign rhetoric in 2016 that we were not compatible and that I would either wind up resigning in protest because of something the President would do and I could not abide or I would be fired Apprentice-style like Rex Tillerson eventually was. It was simply not in the best interests of our country, and I decided I would save everyone in that grief.
President Trump represents a return to the Washingtonian isolationist approach to the point that United Nations Secretary Antonio Guterres warned President Trump in January 2017, after both had assumed their current positions, if the United States withdrew from its historic role in the world after World War II that the USA would be replaced. The last distinct major party Presidential Candidate who advocated the isolationist approach prior to Trump was Robert Taft seeking the Republican Nomination for President in 1952 and the Republican Leader in the Senate at the time. Taft’s isolationism scared Dwight Eisenhower so much that Ike finally entered politics. The five-star general knew it was U.S. President Woodrow Wilson’s failure at Versailles that laid the groundwork for the Nazis coming to power in Germany and the Russian Revolution. In other words, caused World War II and the Cold War.
One of my examples of my General Semantics of History Theory in that same chapter, calls the 28th U.S. President “The True Villain of the 20th century.” President Wilson’s Advisers told him to attain Agreement to his 14 Points prior to the Conference. He failed to do so and history was irrevocably changed for the worse.
It just so happened that President Wilson defeated Taft’s Father, William Howard Taft, to gain the Presidency in 1912. At the time, the Republicans were the progressive party and the Democrats the conservative party. The Republicans rejecting Theodore Roosevelt and thereby their Lincolnian Heritage for their Presidential Nomination and the Democrats unexpectedly choosing the progressive Governor of New Jersey altered the basic ideological stances of America’s major political parties to this day.
By the time Woodrow Wilson attempted to gain approval of the Versailles Treaty in the Senate, his old adversary from Massachusetts when they were Governors, Henry Cabot Lodge, Sr., chairing the Foreign Relations Committee, blocked it. President Kennedy would defeat Lodge’s namesake Son for the Senate in 1952, and the younger Lodge would become Richard Nixon’s running mate in 1960.
The only other Democrat to win a statewide race during the Eisenhower sweep in 1952 was Montana’s Mike Mansfield. Like President Kennedy, Leader Mansfield defeated an incumbent Republican, Zales Ecton. The two would become good friends and it would be Mansfield as Majority Leader who would warn the 35th President of the perils of getting America involved in a jungle war in southeast Asia.
The other piece of this puzzle is the fact that Americans learned that they emerged from the Great Depression not because of Franklin Roosevelt’s New Deal Programs but because of America’s mobilization for war after the bombing of Pearl Harbor. After the Japanese surrendered after the only use of nuclear weapons at war, the Pentagon set upon a program of what I have called, “Perpetual Mobilization.”
It didn’t take long for the U.S. Defense and Intelligence apparatus to create the impetus for the two “police actions” in Korea and Vietnam to continue the Perpetual Mobilization. Anyone who stood in the way of this program was a dead person.
As a Member of Congress and the Senate at this time, President Kennedy knew all too well what was transpiring and during the Korean conflict went along with it. During the transition between the Truman and Eisenhower Administrations in 1952-3, however, the CIA removed Mohammad Mosaddegh as Prime Minister in Iran and put the Shah’s Son back into power. Senator Kennedy began to question the wisdom of the Perpetual Mobilization Strategy and the actions of the CIA.
In the M*A*S*H Finale, Reporter Robert Pierpoint is heard stating that the guns had gone silent in Korea but a knew conflict had started in Vietnam. Perfect. Exactly on cue. President Eisenhower would take over for the French after Dien Bien Phu not eight months after the Armistice took effect in Korea.
Then in the transition eight years between the Eisenhower and Kennedy Administrations, the CIA conjured the disastrous Bay of Pigs invasion. If Richard Nixon had won the 1960 Presidential Election, he would have given the Cuban rebels the air cover they needed and Fidel Castro would have been out on his ear.
Instead, the youngest elected U.S. President was horribly embarrassed, and many questioned his competence. The Soviet Union would see this as weakness and would pursue its missile program to defend Cuba. It would be the closest to ultimate nuclear disaster the world has known.
That said, President Kennedy learned from history by reading Barbara Tuchman’s GUNS OF AUGUST concerning the activities in Europe in the run-up to World War I and how war could have been prevented. When Major Rudolf Anderson, Jr., was shot down, President Kennedy kept his cool and then ordered a Naval blockade of Cuba. The Soviets backed down and the crisis was over.
While the world breathed a sigh of relief, the knives came out for President Kennedy in the Pentagon and CIA. They were not pleased that the President refused to invade Cuba and he was beginning to balk regarding Vietnam. This was not how it was supposed to be.
When President Kennedy signed National Security Action Memorandum Number 263 (NSAM-263), that was it. A Coalition between the Pentagon; its contractors and other related businesses; and the communists very quickly planned the President’s assassination tentatively in Texas.
In that same chapter discussing General Semantics of History, I discussed both Kennedy assassinations were strangely international. Usually, political assassinations are for domestic reasons, the assassinations of Jack and Bobby Kennedy were not.
I remember asking U.S. President Gerald Ford, who was the last surviving member of the Warren Commission which investigated the events in Dallas. In typical Ford candor, he said: “Phil, I can neither confirm nor deny your allegations. But I can confirm we were told only to investigate the domestic aspects of the assassination and none of the foreign activities that may have been involved.”
I have always believed this was the case. I believe the new President Lyndon Johnson, Chief Justice Earl Warren and Attorney General Robert Kennedy intentionally avoided the obvious implications of foreign entities successfully assassinating a popular American President. The American People would demand war and the end of the world would be the result through with a nuclear holocaust, aka, Armageddon.
Sirhan Sirhan is from Lebanon, and he assassinated AG Kennedy on the anniversary of the Six-Day War where Israel gained large portions of Arab holdings in Palestine and the Sinai Peninsula. There is no other motivation for Sirhan to murder Bobby Kennedy, and he has never volunteered any other.
When Ted Kennedy ran for President in 1980, no threats were ever made towards the youngest Kennedy Brother. There was never a conspiracy, per se, against the Kennedys as some believe.
You now may be thinking, OK, Phil, what is the reason for this trip down memory lane? If nothing else, I hope I have illustrated that history has an annoying tendency to repeat itself because we do not learn from the past mistakes of our ancestors, we are condemned to repeat them as George Santayana once said.
I have written all my books with the idea of reversing the historic trend of all Great Civilization collapsing under their own weight and saving the United States from such a fate. Only recently I have concluded that is not meant to be.
But in my research, I have discovered that America’s Founders were not only making history in creating the Greatest Civilization the world has ever known, but they were also history. Meaning, they were sent by the Creator to do exactly what they did. I knew that discovery would haunt me for the rest of my life.

President Kennedy is the last of the American Presidents I know was especially sent by the Creator to do what he did and what has befallen us is remarkably similar.
Neither one of us were born in the best of conditions. President Kennedy was given the Last Rights and was never very healthy. I had three major surgeries before I was six months old. He always knew his tenure on Earth would be a short one and the cycle of abuse I have known all my life started with those birth defects.
One night at the beginning of a SVC Public Policy Forum at Brown University in Providence, Rhode Island, I challenged would-be assassins to take care of that order of business first. They exposed themselves and started shooting. Security quickly subdued them without any casualties. Then a participant asked me why I always compared myself to President Kennedy who was not as fortunate in Dallas just four hours after he delivered his speech in Fort Worth.

In that diatribe I talked about the fact that we were witnesses to the “crime”. Young Jack Kennedy saw firsthand what was developing in Germany with the Nazis. He reported what he witnessed to his Father who was the U.S. Ambassador to Great Britain. Ambassador Kennedy was unimpressed and supported Prime Minister Neville Chamberlain’s policy of appeasement.
Of all the things Don Spencer taught me, the “Munich Mentality” made the strongest impression. When U.S. President George H.W. Bush spoke to British Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher about what to do about Iraq’s invasion of Kuwait in Aspen, Colorado, Margaret stated: “He (Saddam Hussein) should be thrown out and thrown out in such a way that he would never think about doing it again.” Indeed.
That set me up for eye-witnessing the “crime.” I would accept the U.S. Navy’s invitation to fight in the Gulf War which in turn set the stage for me to becoming Osama bin Laden’s “only worthy adversary.” Just as what happened to President Kennedy, my Divine Destiny would become front and center and my walk across the pages of history was in full swing.
Bin Laden would blame me for his exile from Saudi Arabia; I would be appointed to Command America’s initial attack into Afghanistan after 9/11; U.S. Secretary of State Colin Powell would coin the phrase “regime change” following the concepts of the Sutton Doctrine to justify the invasion of Iraq and finally removing Saddam Hussein; and UN Secretary General Kofi Annan would follow that up with asking me to write the Responsibility to Protect Principle which would greatly aggravate bin Laden’s organized terror crusade.
The R2P was the last straw for bin Laden as it was for Kennedy signing the NSAM-263. The assassination attempts and my legal problems began within Missoula, Montana, USA, itself at that point.
The Obama Administration threw in with the terrorists; mass and social media; and publishing industries to assassinate me just as the Pentagon, defense industries and communists joined together to kill President Kennedy. That’s where the Kennedy-Sutton coincidences end. I survived; John Kennedy did not. My Divine Destiny is different.
After my Buck Dream last Saturday, I can, for the first time, see how a Peaceful Conclusion to Human History is possible. In a typical Jesus metaphor, Jesus told me that the stars are aligning for his Second Coming. The significance is that 2,000 years ago Jesus did not know when his Second Coming would be, now he does!
I couldn’t possibly discuss the significance of all the events now transpiring and all the insights Jesus gave me in this Presentation but suffice it to say Satan’s people are in for a severe reversal of fortune. The traitors/terrorists have had their way with me, but just as Satan and company cheered Jesus’ crucifixion only to discover with the Resurrection would lead to their ultimate defeat concerning Spiritual Salvation, my sacrifices will lead to Satan’s and company demise and Jesus’ glorious Second Coming!
Only Jesus knew what his Divine Destiny would be from birth, but even then, he conceded at Gethsemane that he had lost control of events and he wanted out, if possible. The Creator’s ways are difficult, but we must always keep in mind that there is no way the mighty will defeat the righteous because history will not permit it!
